Born 1956 in Hokkaido, northern area Japan.  
Member, International Council of Museums (ICOM)
Artists who have influenced him as a creator include painters Edgar Degas, Gustav Klimt,

Amedeo Modigliani; photographers Nadar, Eugene Smith, Irving Penn, Richard Avedon,

Jeanloup Sieff, Sarah Moon, Norman Seeff; art director Alexey Brodovitch; and numerous musicians.
His wife is photographer Yuma Masuzono.
